Agnese Spravnika (Aggie)
I'm Aggie, co-founder of OpenMity. With over a decade of experience in the adult industry and couple relationships, I combine professional knowledge, personal experience, and thoughtful research to share practical, sex-positive advice on intimacy, kink, and keeping the spark alive. My goal is to help couples stay curious, explore new desires, and never stop surprising each other.
A Little More About Me
OpenMity wasn't born from a business plan. It grew out of a difficult chapter in our own relationship, when our eldest son's health challenges and countless sleepless nights left very little room for intimacy.
That experience taught me something important: even when two people love each other, keeping their connection alive sometimes takes conscious effort, curiosity, and a willingness to try something new.
You can read more about how it all started in Our Story.
Today, what excites me most is exploring the many ways couples connect, communicate, and discover new sides of each other. Some ideas come from fascinating research. Others come from our own experiences or conversations with customers. And sometimes, what sounds incredibly sexy in theory turns out to be hilariously awkward in practice.
I think all of those perspectives are worth sharing.
How I Research and Write
I'm naturally curious, but I'm also someone who likes to understand why things work.
When researching a topic, I look into existing scientific studies, relevant expert perspectives, and what we actually know about human behavior and sexuality. I try to distinguish established findings from theories, personal opinions, and popular myths.
But reading about intimacy and actually experiencing it are two very different things.
My husband and I explore the games, activities, and relationship ideas we write about whenever practical. Sometimes we discover something we absolutely love. Other times, an idea that sounded brilliant on paper needs a few adjustments before it becomes genuinely enjoyable.
Our customers are another valuable source of inspiration. We regularly discuss intimacy and relationships with them, and some reach out with questions or ask for advice. These conversations help us understand different perspectives, discover new topics, and recognize challenges that couples experience in real life.
My goal is to bring research, firsthand experience, and these real conversations together to create articles that are useful, engaging, and honest about what we know and what remains a matter of personal preference.
My Educational Background
My academic and professional background might surprise you, considering what I write about today.
I hold a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in mathematical economics. I've also completed the ACCA examinations and passed the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. My education has shaped the way I approach information. It taught me to think analytically, examine evidence, question assumptions, and look beyond simple explanations.
I bring that same curiosity and research-minded approach to my work at OpenMity, along with a healthy appreciation for the fact that human relationships are rarely as predictable as numbers.
What I Write About
My articles cover everything from everyday intimacy and sexual communication to BDSM, dominance and submission, fantasies, and playful adventures for couples.
I'm particularly interested in how couples can explore their desires, communicate more openly, and keep discovering new sides of each other, even after years together. I don't believe there's one perfect formula for a fulfilling intimate life. What works beautifully for one couple might be completely unappealing to another.
And that's part of what makes exploring intimacy so interesting.
I hope my articles give you a little more knowledge, a few ideas worth trying, and perhaps the confidence to start a conversation you've been putting off.
